Why a separate Telangana? Aren’t you happy being part of Andhra Pradesh?

History: In 1947, India got Independence. In 1948, Indian Army ousted Nizam of Hyderabad to include Hyderabad and its regions into India. In 1953, Andhra was formed (from Madras State) as a state under Reorganization of States based on linguistic lines. In 1956, Telangana was merged with Andhra though there was a demand for a separate state of Telangana. In 1956, there were protests in Hyderabad for Telangana which was quelled by police killing some of the protestors. Ther reasons for separate Telangana are plenty. I outline some of them here:

Telangana is less developed compared to Andhra.

Rivers like Krishna and Godavari flow through Telangana, but the water from the dams are sent to Andhra and telangana people have no rights to use that water.

Because of less literacy and backwardness of Telangana people, most of the new jobs, postings in government and education are given to people from Andhra.

Except for common language, the people of Andhra and Telangana have different dialects, histories, cultural systems, different food habits

Telangana is allocated only 25% of budget which constitutes 42% of AP population.

Dr. B.R Ambedkar has proposed that there most be one CM(governing body) for every 3 crore population but todays AP population is 12 crore . USA which of 1/4th of india population is having 50 states why do we have 28 states only? Ambedkar has already proposed that india should have 50 states by 100 years of independence.If there are less population in a state administration becomes easy.Surveys says there are nearly 400 villages in AP which has no power supply ,in that 300 are in telangana region.

Will Telanagana develop if it is seperated?
Yes! Uttaranchal has introduced many sops for new industries because of which many industries are being set up in that state. Chattisgarh has opened up its university to many people from India and is now for the first time introducing electricity to the interior regions. Jharkand which supplied Bihar with most of the raw materials now has its own industry and income.

One Night 4 College Students Were Playing Till Late Night
And Didn't Study For The Test Which Was Scheduled For The Next Day.

In the morning they thought of a plan.
They made themselves look as dirty and weird with grease and dirt.
They then went up to the Dean and said that they had gone out to a wedding last night
and on their return the tyre of their car burst and they had to push the car!
all the way back and that they were in no condition to appear for the test..

So the Dean said they can have the re-test after 3 days.
They thanked him and said they will be ready by that time.

On the third day they appeared before the Dean.
The Dean said that as this was a Special Condition Test,
All four were required to sit in seperate classrooms for the test.

They all agreed as they had prepared well in the last 3 days.

The Test consisted of 2 questions with the total of 100 Marks.

"Life is one of those races in nursery school where you have to run with a marble in a spoon kept in your mouth. If the marble falls, there is no point coming first. Else, you may achieve the success, but this spark, this feeling of being excited and alive, will start to die.
One thing about nurturing the spark - don't take life seriously. Life is not to be taken seriously, as we are really temporary here. We are like a pre-paid card with limited validity. If we are lucky, we may last another 50 years. And 50 years is just 2,500 weekends. Do we really need to get so worked up?
It's ok, bunk a few classes, goof up a few interviews, take leave from work, fall in love.
We are people, not programmed devices..... "Don't be serious, Be Sincere." !

LIFE TEACHES THE LESSON

This dog was born on Christmas Eve in the year 2002. He was born with 2 legs -

He of course could not walk when he was born. Even his mother did not want him.

His first owner also did not think that he could survive and he was thinking of 'putting him to sleep'.

But then, his present owner, Jude Stringfellow, met him and wanted to take care of him.

She became determined to teach and train this little dog to walk by himself..

She named him 'Faith'.

In the beginning, she put Faith on a surfboard to let him feel the movement.

Later she used peanut butter on a spoon as a lure and reward

for him for standing up and jumping around.

Even the other dog at home encouraged him to walk.

Amazingly, only after 6 months, like a miracle,

Faith learned to balance on his hind legs and to jump to move forward.

After further training in the snow, he could now walk like a human being.

Faith loves to walk around now.

No matter where he goes, he attracts people to him.

He is fast becoming famous on the international scene and

has appeared on various newspapers and TV shows.

There is now a book entitled 'With a Little Faith' being published about him.

He was even considered to appear in one of Harry Potter movies.

His present owner Jude Stringfellew has given up her teaching post and plans to take him around the world

to preach that even without a perfect body, one can have a perfect soul'.

In life there are always undesirable things, so in order to feel better

you just need to look at life from another direction.

I hope this message will bring fresh new ways of thinking to everyone

and that everyone will appreciate and be thankful for each beautiful day.

Faith is the continual demonstration of the strength and wonder of life.

This is the story of 'The Perfect Boss'

There were about 70 scientists working on a very hectic project.

All of them were really frustrated due to the pressure of work and

The demands of their boss but everyone were loyal to him and did not think of quitting the job.

One day, one scientist came to his boss and told him - Sir, I have promised to my children that I will take them to the exhibition going on in our township.

So I want to leave the office at 5:30 PM. His boss replied 'OK, You're permitted to leave the office early today'.

The Scientist started working. He continued his work after lunch.

As usual he got involved to such an extent that he looked at his watch when he felt he was close to completion. The time was 8.30 PM.

Suddenly he remembered of the promise he had given to his children.

He looked for his boss, he was not there. Having told him in the morning itself, he closed everything and left for home.

Deep within himself, he was feel in guilty for having disappointed his children. He reached home. Children were not there.

His wife alone was sitting in the hall and reading magazines. The situation was explosive; any talk would boomerang on him.

His wife asked him, 'Would you like to have coffee or shall I straight away serve dinner if you are hungry.

The man replied 'If you would like to have coffee, I too will have but what about Children?'

Wife replied 'You don't know? Your manager came here at 5.15 PM and has taken the children to the exhibition'

What had really happened was ... The boss who granted him permission was observing him working seriously at 5.00 PM.

He thought to himself, this person will not leave the work, but if he has promised his children they should enjoy the visit to exhibition.

So he took the lead in taking them to exhibition. The boss does not have to do it every time. But once it is done, loyalty is established.

That is why all the scientists at Thumba continued to work under their boss even though the stress was tremendous.

Three eclipses in a month

The world will witness a rare astronomical event- a series of triple eclipses starting July 2009. The fist in the series of triple eclipses will be a lunar eclipse on July 7 which will be followed by a solar eclipse on July 22 and then a lunar eclipse on August 6.

What does this celestial phenomenon mean to the world and does this astronomical event portend anything for us. D K Hari and his wife Hema Hari discuss the above mentioned issues in their new book, Will History Repeat Itself? Triple Eclipse of July 2009. Omnious or Promising? the book has been published as part of the Bharath Gyan series by the Sri Sri publications.

What is strange is that if one looks back at the events that have unfolded in the past, triple eclipses have always been followed by destruction. Hari told rediff.com that the first of the triple eclipses was recorded way back in 3067 BCE (Before Common Era). Following this triple eclipse there was the Kurukshethra war which was fought between the Pandavas and Kauravas in which 47 lakh people took part. The sequence of the first triple eclipse was as follows- Lunar eclipse on 29 September 3067, Solar eclipse on 14 October 3067 and Lunar eclipse on 28 October 3067 BCE.
